I'm making a whole lot of money at my new job, which is great, even if I'm always tired, I never have time to do anything and I never see anyone unless I run into them at Al's.
I'm not working at Hollywood for the next couple of weeks, though it's very satisfying getting a $200 check on top of the exorbitant pay from the UAB job. So I can't complain. I may be exhausted and I may not see my friends, ever, but at least I can pay rent next semester. |

So, an update:
I'm working at UAB this summer on weekdays. I'm also still working at Hollywood on Friday and Saturday nights (until I go nuts from the lack of free time).
The great thing about my job at UAB is that there is literally nothing for me to do... well, there was, but I've done it already. Basically I just sit around and wait for people to tell me what to do. The bad thing about my job, of course, is that there's nothing to do... I'm bored out of my mind and it's only 9 in the morning.
But I am in Birmingham, so, call me or something. |

To be fair, SPIDER-MAN 3 was much, much better on a second viewing. |

Arcade Fire wins at concerts.
Best live show I've ever seen -- sorry, Wilco, but you'll have to settle for second place here. |

This week is simultaneously going to kick ass and suck. For every "Arcade Fire concert in Atlanta" and "midnight Spider-Man 3," there's a "newspaper" or a "Shakespeare paper" or a "studying for exams."
Other than that, things are terrible. |

Oprah just picked The Road by Cormac McCarthy as her new Book Club pick.
Whoa.
And HOT FUZZ, by the way, was ridiculously fucking awesome. Wait until you see Timothy Dalton and Simon Pegg recreate THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS. |

Seeing HOT FUZZ next week on Tuesday in Atlanta at a press screening. What makes this cooler is that not only will Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright be there, but Phil is interviewing them on Wednesday, and who knows? Maybe I'LL get to talk to them. |

I'm scheduled to participate in a telephone interview with Mark Wahlberg on Thursday morning. It's like twenty minutes, and a conference call, but this is still like the coolest thing I've ever done.
I may also be able to interview The Decemberists, which would place third on this list of badass interviews, after Billy Bob Thornton, which was really awesome.
So if anyone can think of anything I should ask Mark Wahlberg, let me know. Or you can just talk about how cool he is here. |

Arcade Fire is playing in Atlanta at the Civic Center on May 1.
I feel secure in posting this because I got my tickets today, and if you were a good person, you'd get tickets too. |

Is ZODIAC worth 2 hrs and 40 min of your time?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Very yes.
This movie fucking ruled. |
